- External Relations Adviser Media Relations & Issues
- Manages Reputation Issues Management process for Shell Malaysia
- Monitor, identify and manage emerging country issues, as owner of process and default ER focal point for all issues in country
- Support ER Manager with business Issues Review meetings to ensure effective and coordinated approach across businesses (quarterly).
- Manage issues action plans and issues briefs.
- Rapidly and effectively analyse developing situations and advise senior management on the necessary course of action, including crisis situations.
- Relationship management of country media stakeholders and accountable for all communication with media in country
- Develop and execute compelling media content for the country according to communications strategy (campaigns) and based on an in depth understanding of Royal Dutch Shell strategy and country/global priorities
- Digital Media engagement with media, online readers, energy blogs (F2F, digital, TV, radio, online)
- Develop local media content, in line with Shell strategy, ER priorities and issue/ opportunities that builds a positive, differentiated reputation for Shell in support of business priorities in country/region
- Support ER Manager to advice senior management and senior business leaders on media strategy
- External framing of Shell business positions in line with business & external stakeholder priorities
- Clearance of Event of Interest disclosures with global media & Investor Relations
